June 2016 Wrap-Up // Bookish lists

I had a lot of fun reading last month. I read most of the books near the end of the month during #TBRTakedown 4.0, but I read nonetheless 😉

I pre-ordered this book to read it as soon as I got it. Then it took me almost two months to read it. That had nothing to do with the book, though, but with a rather long reading slump. I loved the conclusion: the love story, the friendships, the political war strategies!

2. The Princess Diaries: Give Me Five by Meg Cabot
I have missed Mia! It was time for more hilarious and ridiculous problems with the heir of Genovia’s throne! I read this book in two sittings. That’s how much fun these books are! I cannot wait to continue with the series.

3. Bright Minds Empty Souls by Jennae Cecelia
A collection of poetry which was not bad for a first time published author. Although I had quite a few problems with some of the poems, I also found a few gems in between.

4. Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson
#MonthofMatson continues for me throughout the summer. This book was just perfect in all its ways. Family, friendship, love, sickness and death and a summer house in a small town is all that I needed to love, hate, laugh and cry while reading this book.

5. Summer Days & Summer Nights edited by Stephanie Perkins
I enjoyed reading My True Love Gave To Me, but the summer edition was much better. I loved so many more of the stories and now I need to check out all of these authors and their great stories!

Overall I had a good reading month. I need to read more like I did during the read-a-thon in at least two out of four weeks next month. It just is so much fun and I need to make time for it.

Until next time: happy reading! 🙂
